Title: Manual import from text file?
Post by: andrew on November 10, 2016, 10:52 AM
Hi all,
I understand that the pro version of the software allows one to link to excel files, and that you also have a solution for real-time / web updates (SDK).

I'm wondering if the base version allows one to *manually* import flow values from text files?

I would like to be able to construct a diagram, and then update the values occasionally.  If I could that via import, it would be great!

Thanks,
Andrew

Hi andrew,

the pro version with the Live Link to Excel allows updating of Sankey diagrams with flow data from one or more Excel source file(s). We don't call it an "import" because we are creating references (Live Links) to Excel cells that read out the values.

You can check the feature in the trial version (https://www.ifu.com/en/e-sankey/downloads/trial-version-download/) to see if that is what you are looking for. The Live Link is described in the user manual in chapter 11 (page 60-). Some sample Sankey diagrams with "live linked" Excel files are also available in the trial version.

Best regards,
