[IMPLEMENTED] Factor column to Edit Unit Types dialog
« on: March 11, 2011, 04:10 PM »
Hi, I would like to have the possibility to have two or more rows with e.g. mass unit. Row one with kg and row two with tonnes. To obtain this the program should have a factor column added stating that kg equals factor 1 and tonne equals factor 1000. Having this it would be possible to have more than one unit in the diagram at the same time.

Another spin off with this is how the label present the data in kg, tonne or grams! Like you can do today alterning unit to pixel conversion in the "controller" you could perhaps alter unit conversion in mass between kg, tonne, gram etc.

Would be kind of a nice feature!

Hi brrmek,

thank you for your suggestion. We also believe that it would be a very usefull feature to have more than one unit per unit type. Assuming the the units allready available in e!Sankey diagrams will become 'basic units' the user should be able to enter related units and a coefficient - e.g. if kg is your basic unit, you may enter t for tons and 1000 as coefficient to transform kg to tons. So it is possible to configure each entry, what unit will be used.
... But i can not say anything about the time, this feature will be implemented.
