Setting a template
« on: October 11, 2019, 04:14 AM »
I need my diagrams with arrow head and tail unchecked. I created a rough diagram with the arrow specifications aforementioned and saved it as a template (.santem). Now I opened this template and tried placing new arrows but didn't get my arrows with the new setting (unchecked for head/tail).
What am i doing wrong? Can someone guide me in the process of setting this template?

Hello Ashok,

when creating a Sankey template, you can define the following presets for creating new diagrams
  • unit types and units
  • entries with their colors
  • arrow properties ("arrow style")
  • process properties ("node style")
  • additional graphical elements (shapes, text, logo)

Now in your case, you are defining the look of the arrow for the new template. For arrows and processes you have to use the command 'Set as Default' from the context menu of the arrow or process before you save the template file (.santem file type).

So, in short: define your arrow look and properties (head and tail option unchecked), then do 'Save as Default', then remove your arrow, and save as template.

Hope that works for you!
